DESIGN FOR PLAY THERAPY TOYS

Design for Social Good

This project addresses the emotional hurdles faced by Third Culture Kids (TCKs) in Qatar, specifically children aged three to seven who often struggle to vocalize the complexities of growing up between cultures. Integrating concepts from play therapy, I designed and fabricated a series of interactive objects that translate emotional expression into physical movement. This work showcases my deep understanding of material exploration and craftsmanship, resulting in tactile tools that facilitate non-verbal communication between a child and their therapist.
